May 26, 2014; Be a missionary!

Hey mom, it is good to hear from you and guess what I have the whole time I need to email today! Ha-ha I made sure that we had enough time today.
1. Ok so I apologize for last week and that I only emailed the shortest little email. So last week, right when we got done with internet, I was kind of upset with everything because I really wanted to talk to you guys.... so we went to a visit that we had set up but it fell through and then we talked to the neighbor and she shut us down.... that was not cool at all... I was ticked, ready to go to the house and just call it a day but I just told myself that I needed to keep pressing forward. So we went to a different house and the Lord came through. There we were able to have two new investigators and a new less active person. The investigators are named R and M. The less active is named J. She is the daughter of R and M is her friend. We had a pretty good lesson there and I was really happy and that got my spirits up. We were able to visit with them one other time during the week. So I just want to testify that the Lord blesses us for every little rule we keep. Just like D and C 130:20-21 says. I really like that scripture.
We went to the feria again and contacted a lot of people. We were able to go to one visit on Friday and they guy pretty much just bashed on us and the Book of Mormon. We wanted to show him 2 Nephi 29... I think that might have shut him up... but it frustrates me when people are so blind that they can’t even recognize that the truth is in front of them... I just hope and pray the Lord will bless the Chileans.
On Saturday we had a bbq at the church for the Elder’s Quorum and that was a good activity. L and C went to the activity. So another story is that this Saturday we should be having a baptism. R is getting ready and her mom is getting activated in the church. We have everything set up to go but now it looks like R won’t be able to get baptized until her mom has an assignment or calling.... so we might have to cancel everything.... I hope we can talk to the bishop and maybe she can get an assignment. She does have an interview this Thursday. We shall see...
Another crazy story is that this Wednesday night on the 21 of May we saw a big old fire on a street called 21 of May. We helped pull some things out of a house to the side and then the firemen showed up. It kind of made me want to be a fireman... hahhaha but I felt bad for the people and their houses. The next day we went and talked to them and offered our help... other than that there wasn’t too much this week. I am just trying to keep pressing on. I feel like I need to be recharged a little bit... I know that will come through feeling the Spirit and having good experiences.
2. I had an interview with the president a couple of weeks ago. It went well and he just said that he knows when the missionaries are obedient the Lord will bless the Chilean people. I really love our president. He is a really good guy and he is a great example to us.
Lovin' the Hawaiian package!
So that is about it for this week. I hope that you guys have a good one. I love you so much and I hope that you are doing so well! I am glad that you guys still get to keep in touch with my friends even though I am not there. I miss all of you!!! I would like to leave you guys with a challenge to do some sort of missionary work this week. Give a reference, leave with the missionaries, talk about the gospel with someone and I know that the Lord will bless your lives so that you can do this!!! =) I love you guys and I hope you have the greatest week! =)

Love always,

May 5, 2014; Staying in Rancagua!

Hey mom, it is good to hear from you!
Wow so much news! Like a news overload! That is great for Brandon and Rach! I am so happy for them! =) and so happy for all my friends that have made the decision to go on a mission! I wish each and every one of them the best of luck and hope that the Lord will bless them! Sounds like you all had a great week! I am glad! Keep staying busy and gettin 'er done. Sorry you caught a bug mom. =/

1. I am staying again! Ha-ha this will be my fourth change here. Elder A is gone though. I am sad about that a little. He has been such great comp and friend to me while we have been together! I will miss him. But FYI we have planned a trip to go to Brazil one day ;) ha-ha and Elder V will be my new comp. He has about 15 months in the mission. I am still DL and all I know is that Elder V was in my first zone. He is from Peru and I will let you know more next week!

 2. We have an investigator that has a baptism date for the 31 of May! She is named Rosario and is 9. Her mom is a member and wants to be active again. So that has been going super well and we are excited for that! Cristobel still hasn’t gone to church. Over all the week went really well! I gave three baptismal interviews to investigators of the ZLs and those went great! I love seeing the testimony of the investigators that have had their conversion. I hope that everyone of us can have a great strong personal conversion!

3. I got a package from you guys today with dew! =) THANK YOU THANK YOU! But I still haven’t got one from Karl and Ellen... I imagine it will come soon. Can they track the package?

4. No I am good on socks and pens =) thank you! But I would like a 4x6 good family pic if it is possible! Whatever picture is great! =) thanks mom!

5. I sure do!!! We will be able to Skype again! I am planning on calling you guys at 6 o'clock Chilean time! So 2 at home?? But that way dad can still give his talk and I can see you guys! And thanks for the log in info! I appreciate it! I am SO DARN EXCITED TO SEE ALL OF YOU! =) These last 5 months since Christmas have gone by way fast... it is amazing actually!

Man there was a scripture that I read in the morning in 1 Corinthians 14:33. It says that God is not an author of confusion but of order. I know that the Gospel is straight forward and such a blessing. I hope that you guys can look for the simple and powerful ways of the Lord as you live day to day. I just really liked that scripture I don’t know why! I hope you can read it! Did you finish the conference talks?

And one item of business, I am going to send you two pics of receipts I have had. They are medical receipts. The mission wants me to send them to you to see if our insurance can help us out with them at all. If you want to help me out with that then great! But sorry that living is so expensive.... ha-ha I am planning on paying you guys back! =)

I hope that you all have a great week and you can look for the hand of the Lord in your lives. I will see you all on SUNDAY! =)

Love always, Elder Tegan Hall

April 28, 2014; A pretty good week!

Hey mom it’s so good to hear from you! =) I love the email!

It sounds like Olivia had the busiest b-day party ever! I can’t believe she is 13.... That is nuts. She looks older to me too... it will be so strange to see her when I get off of the plane in about 15 months... ha-ha crazy. I am sure glad that you guys had a great FHE on Patriarchal blessings with the Phippens and Hunsakers. I sure hope the things that I wrote to you helped out. It sure is true Grandpa Hall is such an amazing man, such a great role model in my life! I am glad that you all had a great week =) sounds fantastic!

1. Ok so this week we only found one investigator. She is the daughter of a less active lady. The mom is named Rosa and the daughter Rosario. Rosa really wants her daughter to get baptized and Rosario really likes going to church. So that is great!! We want Rosa to get a calling to and reactivate. We will continue working with them. Domingo, Nancy, and Laura couldn’t go to church this week. We have talked to them about how the gospel of Jesus Christ can change people, literally change them and she just doesn’t believe it. This week we have a cool plan for them! =) but that is it for investigators. We went to the feria again and contacted 40 people in one morning! It was great and we have some future investigators from that too. Church went amazingly yesterday. We had one investigator in church, 3 out or 4 recent converts, and 7 less actives! The Lord really has blessed us a lot this last week. I have really just been trying to be an instrument in His hands instead of an instrument that tries to work by itself. It has really brought forth a lot of great fruit!

Funny story of the week, we went to a future investigators house and shouted halo. A little girl came out like nine years old, and told us off. She said get out of here. Then I stood there for a second and another little girl, like 12 years, came out and yelled at us! Get out of here Mormons. We hate you. Leave now. Shut up and walk! Ha-ha I just didn’t know what to do except laugh... so I chuckled a little bit and she got more mad! It was funny and put me in unbelief! Ha-ha moral of the story don’t get down when a little girl gets down on you! ;)

2. Having 2 more elders in our apartment is ok. I feel like I take care of children. Maybe how you guys felt in the nursery... ha-ha Elder A and I do the majority of the cleaning and yes, my bubble has gone, Rod... ha-ha you make me laugh! But really, I feel a little more uptight because of this move in but everything works out. They are fun to live with; I just need to learn how to live with people who don’t care about maintaining the place! They had to move in because the house they had was the mission store house too so the mission just booted them out pretty much.

3. I haven’t had any allergies at all!! Keep my fingers crossed, asthma good, feet good health pretty darn good! Just get tired sometimes but that is normal.

I hope that you have a good week with testing this week and that dad and Olivia do well in work and school! Do everything that Heavenly Father asks of us and He does the rest. I have a strong testimony in that! =) I love you guys so so much and hope you have a great week! Ttyl
